Lucian Savluc

Owner & Principal

Lucian has over a decade of experience in the IT industry. He has worked in various senior positions in web marketing, user / customers experience and acquisition, product innovation, development, project and event management in companies in North America and Europe.

Some of the companies he’s worked with include CapturePlay Systems, BasicGov Systems, Navarik, NGRAIN, Sxip, HealthMetrx, and Waters (Creon•Lab•Control), to name a few.

Over his marketing and IT career, Lucian worked in some of the most dynamic verticals: Internet, e-government, marine industry, multimedia, healthcare, defense, tourism, show business, online games and a few others. He has a Bachelor Degree in Electronics from Henri Coanda Academy and a Certificate in Marketing Management from Sauder School of Business (University of British Columbia) followed by other certifications in UX/UI design, development and project management.

Helped CapturePlay to develop from a garage type start-up, to a well rounded and successful company; implemented project management and operations, internship program, strategic marketing plan; lead the web, customer acquisition and user experience team in order to achieve in autumn of 2011 the critical mass of self sustaining user base and position the company product and profile from 26M to 0.5M in Alexa Ranking.

Leading and implementing BasicGov’s web identity, becoming in less than one year the most recognized local government SaaS solution provider in North America;

Leading the UX/UI for the award-winning Q-DIS software product family at Creon•Lab•Control (acquired by Waters);

UI/UX implementation of Navarik Platform at Navarik Corp. and UI/UX and web marketing for DigitalPT and DigitalAP at HealthMetrx.

His involvement in the IT community includes the eLiberatica conference, an event he initiated and managed to grow from scratch. In 2009, with 400 confirmed participants, it was recognized as a top international IT conference and one of the biggest Open Source events in Eastern Europe.

In the present, Lucian is holding the Marketing and User Experience Director position with CapturePlay Systems.

The High-Tech Internship Program

In the spring of 2011, Lucian initiated in collaboration with a few Canadian organizations an internship program to help the high tech skilled immigrants to get real North American working experience. The program was so successful, that he started to expand it beyond the company he was working for. Right now, a few pilot programs are in place over Lower Mainland area.
